Back from Dragon*Con 2006
Sep. 5th, 2006 10:34 pmWell, that was a ride! Went w/ Mike, Amy & Kelly in a rented Grand Caravan - if they weren't such fuel hogs, I'd think about getting one.
Helped the AMTV track for the 2nd yr, talked about "the 4400", and "Story Arcs vs. Standalones", both of which went well.
Met up with TD Aaron, Stephanie, Jackson, Kelly, and Bill from last year.
Made some new friends - Russell, Shannon, Crystal & Jason, and Je(ff)thro.
Got my Peter Jurasik sigs, esp on the "flipoff" B5 cast photo - he signed the "famous Centauri Double" lol; also got Torri Higgenson & Rachel Lutrell.
Interestingly, the "older" stars had lower prices - 20 or 25, versus the "younger" or newer stars, who charged 25 or 30. I didn't have enough for sigs, but stood in line & said TY to George Takei, Anthony Williams (who was a riot MC'ing @ the Masquerade again, as usual), Cliff Simon, and Kavan Smith.
Next year, if I got the $$, am going to see about helping on the SG track, and *maybe* AMTV - like the peeps, but other than 4400 & BSG, it's all cancelled shows - which doesn't leave much dish to give, nor what we're hoping X means, or wish Y would happen.
