from the mouths of babes

So Tues night we had a Family Math night - since this is K's strong subject, I took him; ex met us there (without the brood). While son in the restroom, his dad filled me in on some happenings in the new family that son will be affected by. Over all, pleasant interaction.

Wed am on way to d/c, I mention some things his dad had talked about related to him.

K: "When I'm a father, I'm gonna go to work every day. I'm not going to stay home. I'm going to work and make money & take care of my wife & kids."
Me: "Well, Daddy's unable to work, for the most part. Staying home isn't all by choice."
K: *grunt* *beat* "I'm still not gonna stay home like Daddy."

Well hell- what can you say to that? (son knows I work 2 jobs, cuz 1 requires uniform).
