Called Friday to set up a rental for Sat - when I'd planned to drop off my car to get fixed from the accident 3 wks ago.
Called Sat, when I discovered the place I'd chosen was closed on Sat.
Left work 1+ hr early, to head S to do the car thang. It'll cost more than insurance originally estimated - exactly how much, the shop isn't sure... but the adjustment will probly add 2-3 days to the work/needed rental.
Over to Enterprise @ Potomac Festival. Mind you - this is the same office I rented from in Jan when my window blew out - had GREAT service; along w/ the time or two previous to THAT when I've rented.
They didn't have me in for a full-size (what my Accord is). THEN they didn't HAVE a full size... I could chose a VW Beetle, Nissan Sentra (int), or Trucks... then PT Cruiser came up (stnd) - then offered a Mini-van...the Sentra wasn't wide enough to fasten son's car seat into w/o reaching UNDER the seat to get to the latch. The PT Cruiser was worse unless I wanted to fasted behind Pass. seat - and the front looked painful for L to ride along. The bastards didn't seem to grasp that not every car seat fits in every car.
Luckily, a lady came in w/ a Mit. Galant to exchange for smaller... Galant is full-size; and hell - I like it! It's got some pep. AND NO CABIN NOISE!!! Hondas are great cars, but every year, and regardless of model, Consumer Reports dings them for noise. Gotta look at the Galant. My desired Mustangs apparently don't stick around. They generally get checked out w/in 10 min of coming back - there's only 2 :( oh well.
Gah!!!
