Got CT scan, went to neurologist.

Yup, it looks like I'm having "orgasmic headaches" or sex headaches. Usually benign, but she's (neurologist) ordered an MRI to be safe & sure.

Treatment of SH? Take some Aleve/advil before having sex... can last for a few weeks to months...

Great - like my sex life isn't non-existent difficult enough, I can't even enjoy reading smut or fantasizing...

Unless it goes to hell, probly won't have much new to report for a week or more. I'm gonna try to get the MRI done same day I sign my lease @ new apt - the 16th - so I don't miss anymore work.

Any advice/helpful hints if you've been through it/know someone, greatly appreciated. Irony is - affects men 3x more often than women - and although not "unusual", they got no idea *why* it happens/what causes it. *sigh*

that has got to be the most unusual affliction i've ever heard of. and it sucks entirely. *huge hugs* i do hope that these headaches clear up soon and that they aren't a sign of anything worse showing up down the road.

Well, look at it this way: It's probably easier to remember to take an Aleve before masturbating than to try to remember when an intense moment begins with someone else.

I don't know what to tell you. The few times I've had them they were due to um....intensity, and they don't always hit after sex. Try the Aleave before hand and see if that doesn't help.
