Well, it's been a fun week - wake up w/ back pain; most of the workday = pain; go to bed w/ some level of pain...

Went to Patriot Sports Health & Physical Therapy -

Good news - doesn't look like any lasting damage done.

Bad news - my L4 & 5 deep muscles, aka "Guard muscles", apparently didn't get the "ALL CLEAR" message the rest of my muscles got - even w/ the Flexoril & Vicodin knocking on the door.

So, I have to go 2x/wk for 2-4wks; stretches, heat, electric stimulation, and some massage. W/ stretches in between @ home.

Work is just SOOOOO thrilled - at least I was able to get appts @ the front or back-end of the day, so won't impact the office as bad as it could... though it's still 1.5-2hrs a day blown...

Damn insurance better F* well have a good offer - I'm using up ALL of my sick & personal leave doing this.

Okay, I have been in my own little drugged out cave for the last week and a half from my accident, so I am a bit disconnected. What happened? I hope you are getting better. Insurance companies suck, I feel for you there.

Vicodin is win.

The accident (http://okami-myrrhibis.livejournal.com/17719.html) and the the initial update (http://okami-myrrhibis.livejournal.com/18318.html)

And the car damage (if not posted in #2) was $1598

Duh. I remember seeing it, but it's part of the fuzzy bits from my "vacation". I know I read it because I remember thinking how nice your ex was to show such concern for your well being. Pfft.

Sorry about that. I is dork.

Oh, heck. I'm sorry. It's not fun having those deep muscles massaged, either. I hope you'll keep up with the stretches - they really help!

Not fair that you have to use up all your sick time dealing with this - can you offer to make up hours after the PT?

Good luck...

Sorta; I can go negative on personal leave, which is nice (our group can't buy/sell leave, unlike other parts of the company, so it evens out).

What I'm *planning* on doing is counting up those hours/$$ and insisting on that as part of my settlement offer - so that later on, rather than go negative (which I'd rather leave for oh s*! happenings) I take leave w/o pay.

We'll see. If the PT doesn't take, final prognosis is recurring/perm damage, &/or settlement offer is stingy, then I'll have to consider a personal injury lawyer, as I'm the sole $ provider for my child.

Sorry to herethat you are still having troubles with your back, and that work is giving you issues. (big hug) The good news is that nothing is permanently damaged. Listen to mmouse and keep up the stretches, they will help.

Get a laywer. My mom wound up in the hospital for 2 months after a wreck. (Her friend was driving the car, mom was a passenger, and it was the friends fault) The insurance co decided they weren't going to pay a thing. We had to get a laywer and sue our friends to get their company to pay. It was a mess, but look into a laywer anyways. Most will do a free consultation.

You need to stress that you are a single mom and the only provider for your son. Turn in ever dime you lose due to the accident. hrs at work, cost of medical and rehab, cost of gas getting to and from, cost of child care so you can go to rehab.

You hang in there too...
